The tester enables safe measurement of voltage, current rating, state of charge and state of health for 12V and 6V batteries. The device is powered by an internal battery, so it can test even discharged batteries and can be conveniently used as a voltmeter.
Car system test gives you advanced diagnostics of starting and charging systems (12V, 24V and 6V). Acquired voltage waveforms are presented in graphical form. The device stores measurement results, marking them with date and time and optionally with vehicle registration number. Internal memory of large capacity provides a record of many hundreds of measurements.
ncluded PC software allows for easy result viewing and report (A4 size) printing using computer printer. Wireless WiFi connection makes possible to initiate printing from device menu directly after measurement.The software automatically archive all measurements and provides customer database that can be used to assign measurements to specific customers.
An additional function is voltage recording mode that allows the user to monitor battery voltage for many hours. This can be used for example to detect unwanted enabling of battery draining devices in vehicle or to verify charging process and evaluate battery charger.

I lost my software CD. How can I get the software?
The software for the device can be downloaded after prior registration and logging in to our website: https://dte.com.pl/en/my-data/
Is it possible to update the device firmware?
Firmware (firmware) does not require updating. In the event of a problem with the device or the need to change the DBT-12 + software, please contact the technical support: support@dte.com.pl.
Can I test 6V batteries?
Yes, the device supports both 6V and 12V batteries. Testing 6V batteries is possible from 5V. Both batteries used in motorcycles and in agricultural tractors can be tested. It is also possible to test the charging and starting system in the 6V circuit.
What current should be set when testing a 10Ah battery?
When testing the starter battery, we specify the inrush current according to one of the standards (e.g. EN, DIN). Inrush current refers to the possibility of a short-term load of the battery with a very high current. 10Ah refers to the battery capacity, determining the product of the current and the time leading to discharge. When testing a 10Ah battery, set the starting current according to one of the standards. The starting current of a motorcycle battery with a capacity of 10Ah may be (example value) 160A (EN).
Can I test a battery from a UPS or a child’s toy?
Yes, although the test is different from the car battery. The tester tests the batteries based on the estimated starting capacity and relating it to a nominal value. Popular AGM batteries used in UPS or toys are intended for buffer or cyclic operation, and not for starting engines. Therefore, their starting ability is not usually marked according to the standards. Such batteries can be tested with DBT-12 +, for example in the “Fast” mode. Compare the measured value of the internal resistance (given in mΩ). Information on the correct internal resistance should be found in the datasheet of the battery – they are usually available on the websites of manufacturers or distributors.
