The device is intended to measure as well as to generate a PWM signal. Frequency range of generated signal covers frequency range used in automotive electronics.

PWM signal tester enables yout to:

  • control all kinds of electromagnetic valves commonly used in both gasoline and diesel (eg, EGR valve, turbo pressure control valve, etc.) which allows you to test these elements,
  • control speed of DC electric motors,
  • control fuel dosage or ignition advance in fuel pumps of compression-ignition engines (quantity adjuster and spark advance valve control)
  • control other devices that use PWM as a control signal, controlled either by switching power or ground,

What is the GP-1 tester used for?

The GP-1 tester is a PWM signal generator with which you can check all kinds of solenoid valves used in passenger cars.

Attention! The tester is not suitable for checking solenoid valves with a protective diode or other elements protecting against overvoltage.

What kind of power does the GP-1 tester require?

The GP-1 tester is adapted to be powered from a 12V battery – the power terminals are terminated with alligator clips enabling the connection of appropriate cables to the battery clamps. It tolerates supply voltages in the range of 11 … 15V.

Is it possible to update on-line?

It is not possible to update the GP-1 on-line.

What signal frequency range does the GP-1 generate?

The generated frequency range is: 20Hz … 1000Hz. The device allows you to set the frequency with an resolution of 1Hz.

What range of the signal duty cycle can be set?

The duty cycle can be adjusted in the range of 0% … 100% with an resolution of 0.1%.

What wires are used to connect the solenoid valves for the test and are they included with the generator?

The test valves are connected by means of cables terminated with universal plugs. These cables are included in the kit.
