The OCT-3 PRO is used to assess indoor ozone (O3) concentration, so it allows you to check whether the level is already low enough. Note that it is impossible to judge the concentration of ozone by the smell – the characteristic odor can be in the room for up to 3 days! However, this does not indicate the presence of ozone. On the other hand, however, providing a room that still has too much ozone is dangerous for the people in it. Therefore, after each ozone treatment, it is a good idea to make sure that a safe concentration of ozone has already been reached. The 0-20 ppm concentration probe is designed for this type of measurement. The tester indicates whether the value is within the standard (NDS) or whether the standard has been exceeded.

If you want to evaluate the performance of your ozone generators, use a probe to measure high concentrations of 10 – 1000 ppm. This is extremely useful, especially when ozonation is done on a regular basis, and we want to make sure that our generator is still powerful enough to produce the concentration for effective disinfection.

The device is designed to assess the concentration of ozone (O3) indoors. Depending on the measurement probe used, ozone concentrations can be measured over a wide range. This allows the device to be used to control the concentration after an ozone treatment or, for example, to compare the performance of ozone generators.

For the OCT-3 set in the PRO version, it is possible to expand the capabilities of the device by working with a dedicated application that allows remote reading of measurement parameters. After completing the measurement, a report can be prepared that includes company data, information about the ozonated object in addition to the measurement results.

The application allows you to view measurement reports generated with the app. Reports are saved in PDF format. The report includes a certain number of measurement points, as well as a graph and statistics of the achieved values.

OCT-3 – FAQ

Where can I find the OCT-3 application for phone / tablet?

Only the Android app is available. The application can be downloaded after prior registration and logging in to our website: https://dte.com.pl/en/my-data/.

How long is the sensor lifetime?

The estimated life of the sensor is 2 years with normal use. The recommended calibration period is 6 months.

Why are the obtained concentrations lower than expected?

It is very difficult to predict ozone concentration just from the dimensions of the room and the ozone generator capacity. First of all, the specificity of the room has a great influence on the half-life of ozone. This applies to objects/materials found, temperature, humidity, the presence of contaminants, such as VOCs released from walls or other elements, especially after renovation. Additionally, the same factors affect the ozone generator performance. In the case of popular gererators, it is very difficult to verify the real efficiency, which does not make the task easier. As for the measurement itself, air circulation in the room should be ensured and the sensor should be placed in such a place that it is slightly flooded by air.
