The element connected between the QST-5 and the test cable offers additional protection of the tester’s inputs, protecting it against incorrect connection. The QST-5 tester can be safely connected to any sensor, as long as it is not powered in parallel, e.g. from the vehicle installation. Connecting the tester inputs to a voltage source may damage it. Input protection module protects against such a situation. With the module the tester can be connected to the vehicle system voltage (up to 24V) without causing damage.
