What is the VNTT-PRO tester for?

The VNTT-PRO tester is used to test turbocharger actuators with variable geometry VNT (Variable Nozzle Turbine) or with a wastegate.

 

What turbocharger actuators does the VNTT-PRO tester support?

The tester supports drivers used in cars in the years 2003-2012. Detailed information on what types of actuators and actuators manufacturers are supported can be found here:

From what time and in which brands are turbocharger controllers used?

Turbochargers with controllers have been widely used under the hoods of cars since 2003 and are widely used in cars of such manufacturers as Audi, VW, Mercedes, BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Jeep Chrysler, Nissan, Citroen, Chevrolet and others.

 

Does the tester have original connectors for the drivers?

The tester has original connectors for drivers that are on the list of supported drivers.

 

How many dedicated cables are in the set?

What power does the tester require?

The tester tolerates supply voltages in the range of 12 … 15V. The voltage source should have a current efficiency of at least 4A. In the set, together with the tester, there is a stabilized power supply intended to power the tester.

 

Is it possible to update on-line?

Yes. All you need to do is connect the programmer to the USB connector of any PC or laptop with Internet access and run the update program. Details on how to update are included in the device manual.

 

Can the tester be used to correctly set the position of the variable geometry in the regenerated turbine?

The tester does not have any data to allow variable geometry to be set. The tester is used to check the correct operation of the actuator.

 

Does the tester have data for the correct ranges of position sensors (copy sensors)?

The tester allows to read the position sensor signal (copy), but does not have data on their correct ranges.

 

How does the tester detect a faulty actuator?

The decision whether the controller is functional or requires repair is made by the user on the basis of the current consumed by the controller during the test. The value of this current is given by the tester.
