The BIP TESTER is a measuring device designed for users who have a pump injector testing station but do not have the ability to accurately measure BIP timing. The instrument allows measurement of the following values:
– BIP time in the range of 800 – 1200 μs
– measurement of coil resistance (milliohmmeter with a range of 0.001 – 4Ω)
– high voltage insulation measurement
– Optional capacitance measurement (range 0.4 – 40 μF)
The BIP measurement is carried out without driving the mechanical injector but under pressure on the supply rail. It is possible to measure the BIP without removing the pump injector from the engine to inspect or identify the cause of the malfunction.
Measurements can be taken directly from the tester’s keyboard or using a computer. When controlled by a computer, the user gets additional graphic information about the entire set under test, along with a hint as to what BIP adjustment operation should be performed. In addition, the program verifies the BIP values and optimizes to the best working range of the entire set. The program has an editable and replenishable database and generates a report and printout of all measurements.
1. working with the program starts with defining the type/model of the pump-injector:
2 The measurement of the BIP itself for the selected series is preceded by a window starting each measurement:
(3) During the measurement, a window appears with the progress of the test duration:
4 The completion of the measurement is shown in the following screenshot:
5 The above measurements were only for BIP measurement. If you select the measurement of electrical parameters depending on the inclusion or not of assistance, the measurement starts:
During the resistance measurement, a window appears indicating the progress:
6 Leakage can be measured for two ranges:
7. completion of measurements allows you to generate a report:
The set includes:
1ST BIP TESTER
2. power supply
3. universal wires to connect the coil
4 PC software
5. adapter for connecting the tester with a computer (isolated)
6. operating instructions
