How BSI supports battery testing in the store and workshop
Battery sales and customer service at an auto repair shop or service center is a daily occurrence for many companies. Increasingly, customers expect not only a quick battery replacement, but also a reliable diagnosis and proof that the battery really needs to be replaced. This is where BSI (Battery Service Integrator) – software that supports battery testing, facilitates diagnosis and helps build a professional image for the dealer.
Why use BSI
BSI’s software is designed to meet the real needs of garages and dealerships. Key benefits include:
- Quick and clear test reports that can be handed to the customer,
- Clear documentation of tests – helpful for possible complaints,
- Easier to convince customers to buy a new battery with objective results.
- supports different types of tests: whether you prefer results from a conductance tester or prefer a traditional load test you get a uniform report,
- Encrypted database with password-protected access ensures security of customer data and compliance with requirements such as RODO
Which battery tester to choose?
BSI works with DTE testers, including the DBT-12+ and DELTABAT 30, so that the user can not only read the test result on the device’s screen, but also archive it in the system, print it or send it to the customer in digital form. This expands the testers’ capabilities and makes them a more versatile tool in the workshop or store. But transferring data and printing reports is not the only function of the program. BSI is also a tool for configuring and updating the software of the devices themselves. Thanks to a convenient connection, whether wireless or wired, we always have access to them.
Benefits for workshops and dealerships
Hard copy and digital reports
Each test can be saved in the system or printed out. The customer receives a document that confirms the measurement result. Thanks to the additional functions offered by the testers, such as the test of the starting and charging system , the customer gets comprehensive information about the condition of his vehicle and can plan maintenance activities.

The reports are also available digitally as a PDF file, which can be easily sent to the customer via the communication method of choice. From within BSI, the report can be emailed directly, supplementing it with additional information such as expert commentary on the results. The message can also invite the customer to take advantage of the store’s offerings or to follow the social media profile.
Full history of measurements
The system archives all the measurements taken, which makes it possible to quickly analyze the complaint and verify the condition of the battery during the customer’s next visit – whether he brings the report or not. If the customer comes back two months later with a complaint, we can provide him with the previous test results with a note about low charging voltage and the need for alternator service. This is a strong argument for why it’s a good idea to perform such tests routinely.

What is the best way to check the battery?
The software works with DeltaTech Electronics testers (e.g. DBT-12+, DeltaBat 30, BLT600S-QR), extending their capabilities and enabling convenient management of results. Thus, we have at our disposal almost all battery testing methods. Both the results from the DBT-12+ electronic tester and the BLT600S-QR resistor that tests the battery under load can go into the database in the application. If desired, we can even perform a full capacity test using the Deltabat 30.
How to increase battery sales with BSI?
The result of a battery test often determines the customer’s decision. However, just testing batteries somewhere behind a counter without presenting a report will not do the job well. Objective data in the form of a printout or digital file:
- increase the credibility of the seller,
- allow you to better argue the need for replacement,
- give the opportunity to show the “before and after” effect when replacing the battery.
This makes battery sales simpler and gives the customer the feeling that they are making a decision based on facts, not on a salesperson’s suggestion.

Implementing BSI software means tangible benefits:
- faster and more professional customer service,
- Easier claims processing with accurate documentation,
- An increase in battery sales based on reliable diagnostics.
BSI is an investment in credibility and better communication with the customer, while at the same time a practical tool that facilitates daily work. At a time when speed and transparency of service matter, BSI is becoming an invaluable support for workshops and battery dealers.
