OCT-3 PRO Ozone Concentration Tester
OCT-3 PRO is used to assess the concentration of ozone (O3) indoors, thus allowing you to check whether the level is already sufficiently low. It should be remembered that the ozone concentration cannot be assessed by smell – the characteristic odor may be present in a room for up to 3 days! However, this does not indicate the presence of ozone. On the other hand, making a room where there is still too much ozone available is dangerous for people inside. Therefore, after each ozonation, it is worth ensuring that a safe ozone concentration has been reached. This type of measurement is intended for a probe for measuring concentrations 0-20 ppm. The tester indicates whether a given value is within the normal range (NDS) or whether the standard has been exceeded.

For the OCT-3 PRO version there is an option to extend the device’s capabilities by collaborating with a dedicated application, which allows remote readout of measurement parameters. After completing the measurement, a report can be prepared containing not only measurement results but also company data, information about the ozoned object.
The application allows you to view reports of measurements generated using the app. Reports are saved in PDF format. The report contains a specified number of measurement points, as well as a chart and statistics of achieved values.

What is the sensor’s lifetime?
Estimated sensor lifetime is 2 years with normal use. The recommended calibration period is 6 months.
Why are the obtained concentrations lower than expected?
It is very difficult to predict ozone concentration solely based on room dimensions and ozone generator output. First, room specifics have a large influence on the half-life of ozone. This applies to equipment, temperature, humidity, presence of contaminants, e.g., VOCs released from walls or other elements, especially after renovations. Additionally, these same factors affect the ozone generator’s output. For ozonators, it is very hard to verify true performance, which does not make the task easier. As for the measurement itself, ensure air circulation in the room and place the sensor in a location where it is slightly swept by the air.
